Little Cake Factory and food safety
If you would like to place an order for a box of standard Little Cake Factory cupcakes, please allow 48 hours notice from placing your order to delivery time.
For bespoke, custom-made orders please allow minimum four days' notice. This will enable Little Cake Factory to obtain any ingredients or decorations for any specific occasion.
Important note regarding all orders:
Due to the nature of our business, please wait for a confirmation email or telephone call from Little Cake Factory to inform you that we can fulfil your order requirements. We will always strive to confirm orders within a timely manner however please contact us if we have not responded within half a day of placing your order.
Any orders received after 1pm on a Thursday 'thru Sunday will not be delivered until Tuesday the following week - please see our shipping schedule for further information.
Little Cake Factory requires full payment prior to despatch of cupcakes.
Our preferred method of accepting payment is via an emailed PayPal invoice. We do however accept bank transfers and will provide our bank account information only upon confirmation of your order.
Please use your name as the reference so we can identify your payment.Little Cake Factory can send boxes of a minimum of twelve cupcakes via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The cost of postage is from £11.00 and increases with the weight of the package. The charge covers postage materials and Royal Mail Special Delivery costs. Little Cake Factory can also include a personalised gift card if required - please let us know at the time of order.
The cupcakes will be delivered by Royal Mail the day after postage, before 1pm. Please ensure that someone is available to sign for the cupcakes at the delivery address otherwise they will be returned to a sorting office. After that, we cannot guarantee that the cupcakes will taste their best!
Little Cake Factory will always ensure that cupcakes are in perfect condition and properly packaged when they leave our kitchen. Royal Mail Special Delivery service, and our packaging system, should ensure that the cupcakes arrive in good condition. In the unlikely event that the packaging and cupcakes are damaged during postal transit, Royal Mail will offer compensation. Please contact us immediately for assistance.
Our packaging method has been thoroughly tested and has a great track record of ensuring your cupcakes don't get "mushed" in the post!
Little Cake Factory cupcakes are best eaten within 48 hours of delivery. We recommend that the cupcakes are stored in a cool, dry place and we do not advise freezing them.
Please be advised that Little Cake Factory requires full payment in advance of cupcake delivery. We require minimum 24 hours' notice for cancellations after which time no refunds will be offered. Cancellations made 48 hours or less before this time will be entitled to a 50% refund only.

Unless specified, Little Cake Factory does not intentionally use nuts in our recipes. We cannot however promise that the raw ingredients have been produced in a nut-free environment so please use your best judgment when placing an order.
Little Cake Factory has been approved for catering purposes by the Environmental Health Officer and conforms to all food safety and hygiene requirements for catering businesses as specified by the Food Standards Agency.
We are CPD certified to Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 (Catering).
